Software Developer with Security

Role Overview:
This role is integral to the organisation’s security engineering team, focusing on developing secure software solutions and integrating security practices into the software development lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build reliable, secure software that supports the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Strong commercial software development experience
• Proficiency in TypeScript or Scala
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining production software systems
• Knowledge of software engineering principles including testing, CI/CD, version control, and system design
• Ability to write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software used by engineering teams across the organisation
• Build internal tools, services, and automation to enhance security in the software development lifecycle
• Develop solutions to identify, monitor, and mitigate security risks within applications and processes
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security tooling and practices into workflows
• Support the development of secure-by-default platforms and engineering capabilities
• Contribute to the modernisation of existing systems and tooling
• Work closely with security specialists and platform engineers to address complex technical challenges
• Help define engineering standards and reusable solutions across multiple teams
Requirements:
• Right to work in Europe
• Proven experience in software development, particularly with TypeScript or Scala
• Experience working in a hybrid working environment, including on-site presence
• Ability to start on 25/06/2026
• Willingness to commit to a 12-month contract
• Comfortable working in a hybrid work environment
