Our client develops high-tech sensors and measurement solutions used worldwide in energy transition, climate research, and building physics. Their products, such as pyranometers and heat flux sensors, provide crucial data for sustainable energy and climate issues. The company’s integrated approach—combining research, design, engineering, calibration, and assembly under one roof—enables fast innovation and high-quality delivery.
As a Teamleider Engineering, you will lead a team of five engineers within the RCD department, overseeing the manufacturability of products. Your team builds prototypes, maintains technical drawings in CAD (SolidWorks), and develops and calibrates test setups essential for ensuring product quality. Managing multiple projects simultaneously, including the development of new products, you'll provide direction and maintain structure within the team. You will also coordinate with other RCD teams (Electronics, Physics, Product Development, Software) and ensure smooth transition from design to production to support growth and automation. Additionally, you will act as a coach, fostering a culture of ownership, knowledge sharing, and collaboration, while serving as the key link between technical teams and organizational stakeholders.
Role Overview:
This role is vital for ensuring the seamless integration of engineering activities and supporting the company’s growth by maintaining high standards in product development and manufacturing. You will be a central figure in fostering teamwork, process improvement, and technical excellence within a dynamic environment.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Minimum of five years experience in a leadership role within engineering or RCD
• Proven ability to create structure, set priorities, and connect teams
• Familiarity with CAD systems (SolidWorks), test setups, and calibration processes
• Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills
• Coaching leadership style with a focus on collaboration and development
• Technical understanding of calibration and test setups, with ability to relate to content
• Fluency in Dutch and English
• Available for at least 32 hours per week and willing to work four days on-site in Delft

• Ensure smooth translation of design into production, supporting growth and automation initiatives
